Kenna Ventura is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated from Lesley University with their Master’s Degree in Holistic Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2019) and a Bachelor’s in General Psychology from Bay Path University (2015). Kenna has worked both as an outpatient therapist working on longer term goals as well as many years in crisis stabilization at a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) running groups, conducting clinical intakes and assessments, and daily case management.
Kenna’s style of therapy is integrative and pulls from a diverse selection of therapeutic trainings and models such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mind/Body practices, Existential, Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems, Transpersonal, Humanistic, and Expressive Arts approaches. Therapy with Kenna is dynamic and creative as a way to explore authentic living and moving clients towards healing and self-actualization. Kenna’s approach is collaborative and engaging while prioritizing safety and a supportive therapeutic alliance. Kenna prioritizes safety, collaboration, and a supportive therapeutic alliance.
Kenna works with teens and adults looking to gain skills, build insight, and make changes to live a more whole and authentic life. Issues that they focus on are trauma, attachment, skills work, mind/body awareness, managing existential feelings, facing systems of oppression and/or discrimination, chronic health/pain, dissociation, anxiety, depression, and is LGBTQIA+ and Poly allied. Their aim is to see each client “wholefully” and to look at each part to bring awareness and growth.
