Jessica Preston is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated from Anna Maria College with their Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology (2016) with a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Psychology (2017). Previously, Jessica received a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Worcester State University (2014). Jessica has been working in mental health since 2014 and has worked in a variety of settings serving adolescents including residential treatment programs, community group homes, and partial hospitalization programs where Jessica has conducted clinical intakes, individual therapy, group therapy, crisis management and case management services. While she has primarily worked with children and adolescents, Jessica also has experience working with adults.
Over the years, Jessica has experience working with many people managing a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. Jessica’s approach to working with clients varies, drawing from techniques that best fit the client’s unique experience. Jessica has training and experience in facilitating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and mindfulness to meet the needs of her clients and completed a Psychosocial Oncology certificate course. Jessica believes in meeting each client where they are at and strives to provide a nonjudgmental, safe, and therapeutic environment for each client to collaboratively express themselves.
